In the third quarter of 2024, the film and television app market in Sweden saw varied performance across the top five applications, with data provided by Sensor Tower.

Max: Stream HBO, TV, & Movies from WarnerMedia Global Digital Services, LLC, experienced a significant rise in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $507K in late August. The app's weekly downloads also showed an upward trend, reaching around 68K in the same period. Meanwhile, weekly active users increased steadily, culminating in over 309K by the end of September.

Amazon Prime Video demonstrated a stable increase in weekly revenue, with the highest point at about $88K in late September. Downloads peaked mid-quarter at roughly 46K, while weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 94K to 97K throughout the quarter.

Disney+ showed strong revenue performance, especially in mid-September, reaching approximately $743K. Weekly downloads spiked significantly towards the end of September, with a notable peak at around 36K. Active users remained robust, averaging over 500K, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter.

SVT Play saw a decline in weekly downloads early in the quarter, starting at around 13K and stabilizing at about 6K by the end. Active users showed a similar pattern, declining initially but recovering to around 97K by the end of September.

TV4 Play experienced a decrease in weekly downloads from an initial 12K to around 6K by the end of the quarter. Active users saw a slight fluctuation, peaking at approximately 93K mid-quarter before settling at around 89K.
